Shoe Mission

I am on a mission to search for my wedding shoes (2 pairs, 1 for each reception). I have seen many online and they're all very pretty and some are exactly how I want my wedding shoes to be. But I have yet to see any that I like in real life.

I want something with a bow at the front. Because people can see the front of my shoe when I sit on the dais. Something like these:

For Eddie's reception, we will be wearing traditional in majolica blue and the family/wedding party will wear grey. So a silver grey pair for Eddie's reception.

And for my reception, I will be wearing a dusty pink dress (Eddie will wear a coat and tie) and the family/wedding party will wear purple. Would a pearl off-white pair of shoes (like the one in the pic above) go with this colour theme?

I think I have to start looking at options of buying them online.

Hm, on second thought, I have not seen and do not know how the beading on my baju will look like. What if the shoes I buy do not match the overall baju look? Oh dear.

Eddie and Shopping

Went shopping with Azmir and Maria yesterday. We bought some material for the men's baju melayu and also material for Maria's bridesmaid dress. Eddie was there too. This was how he felt about the shopping. *rofl*

BusinessObjects, Rakuzen & Tiffany

The past week has been a very good week. :) On Monday and Tuesday, I attended a BusinessObjects universe designer training with Linda and Jon. Linda came all the way from Norway for the training. And after the universe designer training, we held training for the end users, from Wednesday to Friday. It was interesting as we got to learn the end users' report requirements and they got to see what our MIS can provide. Generally, the users were quite happy with MIS and we (the MIS team) have a lot to do! :)

At the end of Linda's visit, on Friday, Jasmyin and I brought her out for dinner at Rakuzen. :) I brought her to have local food for dinner the night before already (laksa and nasi lemak), and we had tomyum for lunch. We ordered so much at Rakuzen! Even the waitress who took our order was doubtful we could finish the food. But we told her, "Bring it on!" Haha.

Then, on Saturday, the bf and I went to Pavilion to shop. :) I thought of getting a handbag but didn’t find any which caught my eye. In the end, I got myself something from Tiffany & Co. :)

It is a bracelet with a Tiffany blue box charm, and it is so adorable! :) This is to replace the one the bf got me when we first got together which I lost last year. Of course it will never be the same as the one the bf got me first. But it is still a Tiffany & Co bracelet. :)

Since we spent the whole of Saturday doing ‘my thing’, on Sunday, I accompanied the bf to ComicsCorner to play MTG. :)

Then, I had dinner at Rakuzen (again) but with the bf this time. :)

See how crazy the bf is with his MTG cards. Even at Rakuzen, he’s looking at his MTG cards! :p

There are so many smileys in this entry.. Because I can’t stop smiling. It really has been a good week! :)

:) Teehee.

Day Out With the Girls

I spent the whole of last Saturday with the girls from uni. It was initially planned to be a breakfast date. But we ended up having breakfast, lunch, tea AND dinner! Haha. Talk about craziness! It was a pity Syikin couldn't join us. But it's ok. We've setup another date already in our calendars. :)

The girls and I.. We have always been doing crazy things together. :) For example, one of us had a crush on a guy from uni and we knew he usually goes to the gym in the afternoon/ evening. So we were always there at the gym [pretending to be] working out hoping to bump into him. And one day, we were doing our thing at the gym, hoping/ waiting for him to come. But he didn't. So we gave up and decided to leave. But as we were leaving, he showed up. And instead of working out at the gym, he went to the field to play football. So we decided to continue our 'exercise' by jogging around the field. If I remember correctly, we 'exercised' for about 4-5 hours that day! Haha.

And then there was that time where we went out clubbing, and stayed up the whole morning, up to 7am at the Mamak, just so we won't fall asleep if we went back home, so we could attend an 8am class where Ieda and I were already blacklisted for missing too many times. And even though the distance between our faculty and college was probably about 500 metres, driving back to college after class felt like it was a 10-hour drive. That was the first and only time I had to try so so so hard not to fall asleep! Haha.

And we have dozens of CDs with photos! Haha. We took photos everyday and almost EVERY night! Now when I think about it, it's kinda funny. But it's good to go through those photos and reminisce the times we had. :)

So anyways, I am so glad we decided to finally meet. It's been so so so long since the last time we hung out. The last time we met was about 2 years ago at a Raya openhouse, and even then, we didn't really hang out and catch up. It felt really good to spend time again with the girls after such a long time. :)

For breakfast on Saturday, we went to Chawan @ Bangsar. This place used to be Devi's. It had the best maggi goreng! We were always craving to have the maggi goreng at Devi's. And we used to go there at least 2 times a week. And once during the convocation week, when all the food stalls and cafes in campus were closed, we went to Devi's everyday for breakfast, lunch and tea. Haha.

We spent the morning catching up with ex-boyfriend, boyfriend stories.. Who's married and who's going to and who's not anymore. The usual stuff.

Then we walked around, going into all the quaint little boutiques in Bangsar. Or as Ieda calls it, boutique hopping. :) Did some shopping too. And ended up having dinner at Hartamas Square (another old hang out place), with Asha joining us. :)

Sorry about the bad quality pictures. It was taken with a camera phone. :)

Hey girls, if you're reading this, share la some stories.. :)

My First Autumn-Winter Jacket

Today the bf brought me out to Pavillion, KL to get a jacket for my trip to Europe in 2 weeks. Almost bought a beautiful BEAUTIFUL one from Anya Hindmarch. And then Burberry. But in the end, I got a cool looking one from Donna Karan just because it was more me. Oh and the price factor as well. Heh. The ones from Anya Hindmarch and Burberry were so elegant looking.. Like you need to wear high boots and stuff to pull it off. And I'm a very VERY jeans-and-flats kinda girl. :)

I love my new jacket so much, I want to go to Europe tomorrow! Hehe. I also got 2 sweaters from Gap. Hm.. :)

Half Past Three In The Morning

It's about half past three in the morning and I can't sleep. I figured I might as well update my blog. Hm lets see.. Since coming back from the vacation, I..

1. Caught flu and fever and diarrhea. Don't worry, people. It's not H1N1. And I'm better now. :)

2. Got an MC right after my 2 days of leave, making it a total of 3 days of missing from work. Not very happy about it but the doctor insisted. But was quite thankful in the end, that I got a day off just to sleep off all the tiredness from the vacation plus from the sickness.

3. Got myself a new baby. :) Bought myself a DSLR. Canon 500d. Have always ALWAYS wanted one of my own. Figured that I might as well get one now and learn to use it before my trip to Europe in September. Have only been using the bf's Nikon d200 and d300. Went to Singapore with the d200 once and it was torture lugging the camera around. And in Tanjong Jara, the d300 together with the battery grip. THAT was really heavy! The bf also gave me a few lenses from his Canon 450d to try out my new camera with, as well as to learn to use the different lenses. There is a 50mm, 10-22mm, 18-55mm which is the kit lens from the 450d (as well as the 500d), and a L lens. :)

4. Went to see an ENT, Dr Bala on my sinus problem. Too lazy to elaborate on this. But he put in a camera thingy into my nose. And it's not something serious. I'm supposed to use a nasal spray, Avamys, daily for a month and go back to see him for a follow-up.

5. Was brought out for lunch by HR, together with the others, at a Thai restaurant behind McD's in Section 3, called Serai. And discovered a dessert soooooo gooooood that I'll definitely DEFINITELY go back for. It's chocolate ice cream in a tall cup with pieces of banana, cornflakes (!), chocolate syrup, and a chocolate shavings thingy which I'm not sure what it is but tastes like it could be from Oreo cookies. Oh man, the combination is just so delicious. *drools*

Am still waiting for our pics at Tanjong Jara from the bf. Will upload them as soon as I get them from him. :)

Birthday Splurges

For my birthday last year, I got myself a RM5,000 'vintage leather' handbag among other things. :)

For my birthday this year, I went all the way and got myself a car. A brand new car. With my own money. *beams proudly* Will post the pics as soon as the bf transfers them to the computer and passes them to me. :p

Today, we booked a holiday at YTL Tanjong Jara Resort.. :) :) :) OMG I can't wait!

Some Call-Girl Trying to Attract 'Customers'

Dim lighting. Jazz music in the background. Thick lush carpet. Big fluffy cosy armchairs. Tourists sitting around chatting and having a glass of wine. And here I am sitting by myself, sipping on my iced chocolate, surfing the web on my mobile phone. A group of Africans are looking at me funny. They probably think I'm some call-girl trying to attract 'customers' here at this classy hotel cafe.

I'm waiting for the bf. He's at a bar nearby attending an event by Mercedes Benz which the Benz Director insisted he attend. He wasn't really keen on attending the event as he's not into the bar/club kinda places.

We were from a nearby mall. I had to look for a flat pair of shoes for work. Chiro says I'm only allowed to wear shoes with a maximum height of 2 inch heels. That sucks. All my high heel shoes are at least 3 inches high. I thought it was gonna be a challenge. But it turned out okay. There were several options. There was a nice pair at Nine West. Another at Aldo. Another at Charles & Keith. I bought the ones at Vincci+. I quite like Vincci+. They're not like the typical common Vincci. And.. I got a cute cute handbag from Charles & Keith.

I've stopped posting entries on my daily diet. It's too much commitment I couldn't take. I know I'm eating healthier than before. I don't really eat fried food anymore. And I've stopped eating KFC since September 2008. And I drink more water now, and less sweet drinks. That's a start.

Oh bf's done already. Better get the bill and see how much my iced chocolate cost (it wasn't in the menu). Juices in the menu were RM30! I sure hope my drink doesn't cost me RM50.

Waiter! Bill please!

Rock Star!

This people, is the B. Romanek Rock Star clutch in crocodile. *drools*
In July 2004, Brigette Romanek decided to design a bag and give it to her friends for Christmas. When Christmas 2004 came, she presented the bags to her friends. From there, the B. Romanek collection took a life on its own. Her friends were constantly stopped on the streets by strangers asking where they could buy the bag. By February 2005, Brigette's bags could be seen on the arms of Demi Moore, Courtney Cox and Zooey Deschanel. Also Eva Mendes, Sophie Monk, Rachel Zoe, Heather Locklear, Ashlee Simpson and many others!

The Rock Star clutch is a wrap-around clutch and the inside is lined in suede. It comes in so many colours like Cognac, Black, Chocolate, Bone, Midnight, Salt and Pepper, Lime Juice, Lipstick, Forest, the purple one at the top (I don't know what it's called) and another one (I don't know what). It comes in 11 colours.

You should see the bag when it is open.. The flap unfolds and unfolds into a crocodile tail. It's so cool! Now, which colour should I get? :)

Broke & Happy

I am officially broke. In the past three days, I have bought and spent
  • A pair of black satin stilettos (10% discount with HSBC card) RM 134
  • Two bolster cases for my bedroom (just because they were on 50% discount) RM 40
  • A lot of lingerie RM 410
  • Nokia E71 RM 1,200
  • A pair of chocolate suede maryjane shoes RM 169
  • Two silk pashmina shawls RM 50
  • A black satin clutch to go with my stilettos RM 239
  • Two pairs of jeans RM 452

Excluding how much I spent for baju raya, which was about RM 1,000 and duit raya to give away tomorrow, which will be about a couple of hundred ringgit.

Argh! I am not gonna shop for the next 6 months! And I've already asked him to slap me if I want to buy anything else other than food. Heh.

Nevertheless, shopping is therapy.. And I'm happy :p But I'll be happier with another handbag :p
