BusinessObjects, Rakuzen & Tiffany

The past week has been a very good week. :) On Monday and Tuesday, I attended a BusinessObjects universe designer training with Linda and Jon. Linda came all the way from Norway for the training. And after the universe designer training, we held training for the end users, from Wednesday to Friday. It was interesting as we got to learn the end users' report requirements and they got to see what our MIS can provide. Generally, the users were quite happy with MIS and we (the MIS team) have a lot to do! :)


At the end of Linda's visit, on Friday, Jasmyin and I brought her out for dinner at Rakuzen. :) I brought her to have local food for dinner the night before already (laksa and nasi lemak), and we had tomyum for lunch. We ordered so much at Rakuzen! Even the waitress who took our order was doubtful we could finish the food. But we told her, "Bring it on!" Haha.




Then, on Saturday, the bf and I went to Pavilion to shop. :) I thought of getting a handbag but didn’t find any which caught my eye. In the end, I got myself something from Tiffany & Co. :)

It is a bracelet with a Tiffany blue box charm, and it is so adorable! :) This is to replace the one the bf got me when we first got together which I lost last year. Of course it will never be the same as the one the bf got me first. But it is still a Tiffany & Co bracelet. :)


Since we spent the whole of Saturday doing ‘my thing’, on Sunday, I accompanied the bf to ComicsCorner to play MTG. :)



Then, I had dinner at Rakuzen (again) but with the bf this time. :)

There are so many smileys in this entry.. Because I can’t stop smiling. It really has been a good week! :)

Drama Geek Queen

..that's what the bf calls me. As, according to him, I am a geek and a drama queen. *rolls eyes* I am NOT! :p

So, a recap of the drama geek queen's weekend..

1. I won 9th place in my fourth FNM. How cool is that?? Haha.

First round: I won, 2-0 :)
Second round: I won again, 2-0 :))
Third round: I lost, 0-2

The first round, apparently played against a PTQ qualifier. And the third round, first time played against a Kithkin deck. I was quite disappointed for losing that round! *frowns* Because that player's deck wasn't even a really, really tough deck! It was just a somewhat annoying deck which I have no experience playing against. But I'm still top ten! I have to say it again.. How cool is that?? Hehe. :)) So I won another booster pack. My second. Ever. Haha. Last week, in the pack I won, there was a Open the Vaults. This week, in the pack I won, there was a Pithing Needle. :)

2. Had Sunday breakfast with Jaz and Teens. :) The last we met was in April. Have to make an effort to meet up with them more often.

3. Boss' wife delivered on Saturday, 08.08.09 :) Cool eh?

My Third FNM

I won! I won! I won!

I won a prize! My first time winning a prize in FNM :) And my first ever booster pack because I don't buy packs. Hehe :) I won!

First round: I lost badly, O-2
Second round: I won, 2-O :)
Third round: I won again, 2-O :)

I won! Am so happy! :)

My Two-Timing Angel

Something funny happened to me at Saturday's FNM..

I played against a guy who was using huge ass 4/4, 7/7 dragon creatures with trample, haste, flying etc. I won the first game with my Shield of Oversoul, Wilt Leave Cavalier and Wilt Leave Liege.

For the second game, he replaced a few cards from his sideboard into his mainboard. And I did the same. A Baneslayer Angel from my sideboard into my mainboard to go against his dragons.


But it just didn't come out during the second game, and I lost.

That is what usually happens to me. Most guys do not anticipate that my deck would be able to fight, let alone survive. And they're always caught by surprise.

During the third game, my Baneslayer Angel finally came out. I was SO happy. So so happy! Haha. But as a response, he casted a Slave of Bolas. Gained control of my Baneslayer Angel, used it to attack me, and discarded it into my graveyard.


Oh man.. I felt so dipermainkan! By my Baneslayer Angel. Ahhaha! I think I'll remember this move for quite some time. :p

Round 1: I lost, 0-2
Round 2: I got paired with the bf so I let him win, 2-1
Round 3: I lost, 1-2

Of First Times & Chocolate Brown

First won against stranger with my green-white beat down deck.

First FNM.

First time attended MTG Malaysia Nationals.

Ohh.. the bf and I went to a pet exhibition and saw the cuuuuuutest ever chocolate brown persian kitten for sale! I want that precious little kitten so so much! I've always wanted a chocolate brown cat.. Or a midnight grey/blue cat. Plus it was soooooo cute and manja!

Eventhough we could afford to get the chocolate brown persian kitten [financially], I don't think getting another kitten at this point of time is a good idea. First reason, it is a high maintenance type of cat. Second, nobody is at home to take care of it when I'm at work. Third, Ben. I don't think Ben would be too happy.

So the bf promised that we'll get one when we have our own place later.. Meow.

Rhys the Redeemed

Today the bf and I sent the babe to get its windows tinted. Am so happy now that the windows are tinted. Am not used to driving without tinted windows [read: puteri lilin]. Hehe. :p

After that, we went to Manawerx. But it was closed. The bf really wanted to check the place out. Poor thing. But he remembered another place specializing in board games nearby, and he wanted to see if they have MTG cards. So we went there instead. Lucky for him it was open. They have an amazing selection of board games! And there were a few groups of people playing Warcraft.. Which looks like a really cool game.

The bf looked through the MTG cards they have, and bought two Rhys the Redeemed for my Naya deck. :)


We played a few rounds.. And both of us won 2 rounds each. Which was very good for me as his deck is a really expensive deck with Ajanis and such. :) :)

Ohh.. While we were waiting for the tinting to be done, the bf thought he'd test me to see if I knew which card this phrase was from.. Her sword swings more beautifully than any choir. And he was so surprised when I knew the answer! Haha. His expression was so funny! The phrase is from.. Serra Angel. :)


Had fun today despite it being a rather uneventful Saturday.. :)
