B. U. S. Y. BUSY

Ok, I have been MIA for too long. Since March. Did that one post in May count? Yep no, I didn't think so. So that's 9 months of hiatus. 9 whole months of MIA-ness on the blog! Maybe I was abducted by aliens? No. Or kidnapped for a ransom? No. Or maybe I was just plain lazy. Also NO. :S Well... Maybe a little. LOL. Actually... I got married [that was in May] and have been so busy adapting to married life.

To those who are not married yet, a word of warning (?) or advice: When you get married, you will be busy! Very very busy. B. U. S. Y. BUSY. You will have more family members to spend time with, more family dinners and events. Family breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Family outings. You see... I come from a small family. Divorced parents. Dad does his own thing, pretty much. One brother on my dad's side, equally busy with work and girlfriend and stuff. Another two brothers on my mum's side. So there is hardly any family dinners or whatever on dad's side. And once in a while, I visit my mum and my two brothers. That's about it. I'm not complaining. Getting married means I gained a dad who likes teasing me, a mum who cares and prepares home-cooked meals almost daily, two sisters, two more brothers, two nieces and two nephews. :)

Besides adapting to married life, I have also been busy baking. Will post on that later. Will also post on our day-trip to Singapore yesterday to watch the Broadway musical, Wicked. :) Till then... XO

My Name is Bond, James Bond

Look at the plate number! Wow! The owner of the car must really like James Bond; to be driving a Bond car with 007 plate number. Hehe.

Ayam Kampung Hassan

Last Saturday, we went to see a designer for my akad nikah dress at Bandar Tun Razak. The night before, when we were asking the family for directions to Bandar Tun Razak, Eddie's dad suggested that we stop by at Hassan's to try the ayam kampung and masakan kampung. So we did. :)

You can tell that Eddie liked the food there. Hehe.

Babush Cuddles

Jennifer bought us some souvenirs from Harbin. And because Harbin is so close to Russia, the souvenirs were Russian. :)

When I told Eddie about the Babushka dolls, he thought I said 'Babush Cuddles' and he was so confused. Hehe! :)

A New Toy!

Eddie bought us a new toy! So fun! :)

Valentine's Day 2011

Was in Bangkok on Valentine's this year. The team went for dinner that night. Trond gave the ladies a heart-shaped balloon each, from the restaurant. :)

CNY 2011

I had a good long break during CNY this year. I took 2 days off work, so in total, I had 6 days off. Here are some photos taken over the long break.

We had dinner at Delicious;

 No cars at all on LDP!

 My handsome Eddie posing handsomely with his latte.

 My delicious grilled chicken caesar salad. Yummy!

My delicious red velvet cupcake.

We discovered a beautiful mosque when we went for a tahlil;

Eddie posing funnily in front of the mosque.

We were pretending to be 'tourists' in Turkey or something like that. Haha!

We had CNY dinner with the family;

 Handsome Eddie in red in honour of the celebration. He got a lot of angpows that night. Haha!

 Yummy yee sang waiting to be tossed!

A cousin of mine, Ling Huey, actually wished for no rain when tossing the yee sang. Hehe.

 Huge fish deco at the restaurant. I LOVE fish!

 Crab looking at me. I wonder what he's thinking.

Has anyone ever eaten this? Can somebody tell me how do you eat it and what kinda dishes?

All in all, it was a normal quiet CNY. I was rather surprised to receive quite a lot of angpows. Eddie was even MORE surprised as this was his first time having CNY dinner with my family. But I think it would be his first and his last. Next year, we'll have to start giving angpows. Huhu.

You Are On The Same Frequency

I know this post is very very late in the new year, we are now entering the second month of the year. But as this is MY BLOG, what I say, goes. :) Plus it's not like I have any readers who are curious to know what my new year's resolutions are. Heh.

This year, I don't have any resolutions per se. But it is more like a list of things to do. This is it (however, this is a non-exhaustive list).
  • Plan the wedding
  • Learn how to use Adobe Illustrator
  • Update blogs
  • Be more patient
  • Be more positive
  • Be happier
  • Be healthier
  • Save more money (after the wedding)
  • Take more photos
  • Be more active - swim, cycle, run, etc
  • Take better care of myself - go for facials, manicures, pedicures, etc
Well, one month has passed and so far;
  • The wedding planning is underway
  • I have already started my AI tutorial lessons and I intend to complete one tutorial every 2 weeks
  • I am updating my blog starting with this post, and I have already started another blog - details to be provided later
  • I listen to Secret: The Power (audio book) whenever I need to recharge
  • I have scheduled for several monthly appointments at the facial place, nail salon, etc and bought myself products
So I'm off to a good start but need to make more effort to be more active and take more photos. Looking forward to a great year ahead!
